Lake McKenzie is located on the Routeburn Track in Fiordland National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Its a glacial tarn, formed by the movement of glaciers during the last ice age and sits about 900 metres above sea level. If youre lucky enough to visit, watch out for the cheeky kea, a native alpine parrot, known to pull things off cars and steal anything that isnt tied down!. If youre not lucky enough to visit, you can always buy the print.
