At the most northern point of Queensland's Gold Coast is Burleigh Heads, great for both swimming and surfing. In fact it's one of the most consistent producer of waves for experienced surfers on the GC. Although not a surfer myself, I love the barbecues, cricket matches, and musicians that go on in the weekends, and visiting some of the area's heritage sites.
